THOUGHT OF THE MONTH
APRIL 2021
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change.”
~ Brené Brown

Lately, I have been doing almost 45 minutes of mindfulness guided meditation every day. I share this not to boast or beat my chest, but to share what I have been pondering about and noticing as I move between breath, body, mood, movement, awareness loss and awareness reclaimed.
So, thus far, as I dive into my vulnerability, I risk a poem about “Breath, Body, Mind, Awareness Lost, Found and Reclaiming Presence” as the April thought of the month:
Breath, Body, Mind, Awareness Lost, Found and Reclaiming Presence
~Ange Puig, Ph.D.
The ocean flows in and out
Accepting, allowing, releasing, and caressing
diverse expressions with every wave.
Each flow is different in its formation and its pattern of presentation.
Clinicians, healers, givers, helpers, supporters, and others who provide hands and support for others who are
in need or in crisis or knowledge sought.
All require
breath, body, mind, awareness and release
to meet their own needs.
Undaunted and seeking as they give support to those whom they carry upon their shoulders
their pain, worry, and losses.
Just as the ocean retreats,
re-energizing, refreshing, pausing
before it releases again its’ new gift, a new wave, a new pattern, a new giving
upon the many shores.
We, the givers, need to
pause to rest, to be aware, to refresh
before we give our gifts for those, we have sought to support shelter & give suffrage.
